First Quarter Phase: take action

Moon in Virgo/Libra

Ruling Mahavidya: Bagalamukhi (The Paralyzer, The Storm-Calmer)

Skill: lighten up

Negative Imprint: heavy, serious, dismissive

Positive Imprint: light, wise, reverent

Today's energy develops to change our mindset.  In some way, what we previously believed expands into something much more.  Our higher mind takes over to help us see and do what needs to be done.

The Sun will square Chiron today, enhancing Chiron's themes of wounding and healing.  One tendency would be to inflict misery on ourselves due to our perceived "failures."  But we can choose the other path and set ourselves free from lingering doubts and feelings of despair.  We can rise out of and above the perceived failure, seeing that we operated on the information and conditions that were available at the time.  If you get caught up in a "Chiron storm" of self-loathing or self-sabotage, ask the Wisdom Goddess who is on duty this month, Bagala, the Storm-Calmer, to settle it down.  Bagala is particularly adept at abruptly bringing an end to things that need to end.

We are in the midst of massive changes in the world and in our lives and changes take energy.  Today's energetic signatures are heavy and somewhat "serious", so we will try to balance this by lightening things up.  If your energy level is lower today, don't push yourself.  Follow what your body is telling you.  Don't deny it.

The key to lightening up today is to revere something.  When we revere, we step outside of ourselves.  It's good to step outside of ourselves today because inner storms are inclined to rage.  What do you hold dear and revere?  Show it today.  Shifting focus to this is a magical act that will work wonders.
